Introduction

Growing up as a teen who harbored a passion for the Japanese culture, it's animations, music and art, I found a great liking towards cosplay and I struggled to make my parents realize my dreams of becoming a cosplayer. It was difficult explaining to my parents for the first time that I had wanted to attend an Anime Convention, to go to the different events held within it, it's panels and shops in the dealers room, but I finally convinced them that this is what I wanted to do, that this is something I wanted to experience and if I didn't enjoy it, then I didn't, but if I did, I did.

_{I received a package in the mail today (which confused me since I hadn't ordered anything) and when I looked at the address from whence the package came, I recognized the address.

Upon opening the package, there was an envelope that said "open me".

I opened the envelope only to find that it's contents was a birthday card! I opened the card and nearly started crying when I found that a bunch of my friends came together to get me a gift. And I was curious... what gift could they possibly have gotten me?

I opened the first, and smallest, wrapped gift and found three lovely sparkly nail polishes. I opened the next item to find that it was a pink shamrock-heart obi bow...

At this point I was thinking to myself "...they didn't..."

I opened the next wrapped gift to find a pair of geta sandals and lastly...

The last gift I opened was a beautiful blue, green, pink and white yukata-kimono.

I was beyond elated because my friends came together to get me the best birthday gift I could ever have hoped for.}

<3 <3 So do I - the green doesn't show up as bright in pictures depending on the lighting but it's like a jade green and everything is so nice <3
