Aladdin's wig is complete! The braid measures 40" long (from the base of the wig).
This wig was originally a white Aphrodite wig and white 50" long clip on ponytail from Epic Cosplay and I sharpie dyed it. I made a clay oval shape, made a mold and resin casted my gem and the "magic turban" is made from velvet.
Thanks! I measured the circumference of my head and added four inches and cut out three strips of fabric (each one on a fold), sewed the raw edges with right sides together, turned them inside out to make a tube. Then I sewed together all three at one end, braided them and sewed it at the end to keep it all together. As for the round part - I have a beret at home and I just traced two circles, right sides together, sewed all around leaving a small opening to turn it inside out and then I hand sewed the braid onto it.
After the braid is sewn on both ends, you just want to wrap it around your head and sew it together where the two ends meet at the back of your head to make sure it is nice and snug!
I bet! I saw the pictures of you wearing it and it's spot on with the color. (At least compared to the cover art I've seen) I've yet to see the series though, I'm still knee deep in Sword Art Online ><
Well I just finished SAO... wow... just WOW... So I'll have to check out Magi sometime. The premise of what I've read seems pretty cool! ALSO looking forward to Katsu ma'am! Are you going to be playing your flute at the Masquerade? (saw the preview on youtube ><)
Yeaaah XDD And I was told I am not doing the Masquerade for AnimeNEXT this year as they want to give the original MC another chance by herself but I am trying to find out if I can do the opening ceremonies again.
